Nolja Norja Gangjeong Norja Festiva after a heavy oppression with many arrestings

Yesterday, September 2nd, 2011, one day before the "Nolja Norja Gangjeong Norja Festival", the South Korea police tried their best to oppress Gangjeong villagers' spirit by a huge-scale operation to defend the construction workers to build up the dumb fences preventing normal people from going to Gureombi. You can see on the photo that the dumb fences already blocked the olley 7 course which people had been using to go to Gureombi for long time.

Go Gwon-Il was protesting on the tower while the stupid company were building up the fences without using brain to think about what they are really doing and what the fences mean here.

My friend and I tried to talk with some young police men instead of simply watching the "border" being build up. I asked police to stop building up the fences, I asked how they felt when they saw the fences were build up, and I also asked if they could feel the suffering of the villagers or not... One police man tried to talk to us. He said "I have no choice. It is not personal..." One of my awesome friends answer that you always have choice and you can choose to put down your shield right now. His face showed some struggling. There were some other conversations with police which got stopped by one elder police man. I kept saying to some of the police that I know you have human feelings so please think again about your job. Behind their job, there'a a too big and too dehumanized system... I ask the same question to the elder police man, he answered "yes, I feel good (to see the fence being build)." and he asked back "where are you from? Thailand?" with a very discriminating attitude. It was very rude but anyway we respond "doesn't matter where we are from since we are just children of God."

Yes, we are just children of God. How can we make border against each other? How can the navy and police make a lot of check points and borders whine a small village? How can they declared that they own the land? How can they laugh after all these things had been done?

Even though the escalating oppression have been happening in a short time, today Sep. 3rd, 2011, we still had a really good festival even if we couldn't go to Gureombi because of stupid fences, all the people from Gangjeong and outside of Gangjeong enjoyed a lot.

Of course, while we were having fun, there were still so many police men and police buses(around 20) surrounding us. Moreover, the beautiful Gangjeong river also became a weird place...It's very ironic that while some people were playing with carefree laughing, in front of them, the police men had to follow the stupid order standing beside the river without facial expression, guarding for nothing and just making distance from people.

The police men were blocking the way to Gureombi. It is one of the stupid check point.

On the police bus, I saw a ironic lie especially ironic in Gangjeong. It said that "their ears are listening carefully to the voice of people"

Now no way to enter Gureombi, you can only see the Tiger Island through the stupid fence. The government closed the olley 7 course because of the naval base but on the desk of Olley Association in Jeju airport, they spread the news that Jeju olley 7 course was closed because of typhoon, so it is prohibited to go. What a shameful liar.

Yesterday, after the Gureombi was completely closed, even though we just have a very humble request to police men to take out our belongings in Gureombi, the police men had to ask to the navy. It's interesting to see the navy become the boss of police men. We waited in front of the gates for 3 hours but couldn't enter to the Gureombi to take our belongings as they only allowed  under 3 people to enter in one time. All things the government showed is very arrogant arrogant and arrogant. It is definitely occupation. Human beings should think again the question who can ever own the land!

Ps. One small good news is that 34 people were released tonight, but still some people are in jail now. Let's pray for them...
